When our son first started playing Minecraft a few years ago, we were daunted by the idea of group play with strangers on the internet, but intrigued by the opportunity for like-minded kids to learn and play together in a safe and secure (and fun!) environment. Since then, our son has adventured with his friends in worlds created by Rob, first as part of an online group during COVID and now as part of Minecraft Academy. He loves it. My 9-year-old son has been attending Rob’s Minecraft club since 2023. Rob does an amazing job with the kids, and unlike other after school activities, my son never wants to miss a session. Rob puts a great deal of effort into making the sessions interesting and engaging for the children and is always happy to hear the children’s ideas and include these where possible in the sessions. She also fosters a sense of belonging for all the kids attending. I definitely recommend Robs Minecraft sessions as a great activity for kids to attend to build creativity and digital skills, build friendships and have lots of fun.
